Invoke The Divinity

To invoke the divinity in a piece of wood, metal, stone, or cloth wherever it can be worshipped as prescribed ways of the agama shastra. The agama shastra gives us the method of consecrating, invoking, and following a particular type of Upasana meditation accompanied by japa and the rituals for the divinity evident to the seeker. This is all enshrined in the works of the agama shastra only, which we call tantra. 🙏🏻

We are here in the ashram to worship the mother, we follow the Durga Saptashati tantra. In the Durga Saptashati, it has been mentioned how the mother goddess, the primordial shakti of Parameshwara, manifests as the entire world. And she has to be worshipped in that particular way. Parmatma is without any attribute, name, or form. In order to worship the Paramatma, the only gateway is maya, his shakti. And therefore, Paramatma and divinity can be invoked and worshiped. And it can benefit the seekers immensely. 🙏🏻

The seekers have various desires, from progeny to wealth to dharma, culminating in the desire for moksha. All this will be accomplished with the grace of god. And therefore following the agama shastra becomes mandatory. The Durga Saptashati tantra, as directed by Bhaskar Raya, the great tantrik teacher, about three centuries ago, revealed how Durga Saptashati wants us to worship the Devi. In which the chaturbhuja Mahalakshmi, the one with four arms Devi, who is the Adi Para Shakti, whom the world emerges and whom the world goes back, is now worshipped as the central figure. And all other figures around her are her expressions of the entire universe. This includes even the seeker, his body, his mind equipment, and his own sadhana. As if this is all which is happening in the womb of the Devi. So as her children, we can invoke her, the mother, and she would fulfill all the desires depending on the intensity of our devotion, worship, and committed practice. 🙏🏻

Now in the order of all the people here, following the tradition of Vedanta, who are householders and monks. For all of them, this particular temple which enshrines Devi in her whole expression is a unique opportunity. We all should come together with devotion and a commitment to seek blessings and find more fuel for our sadhana. 🙏🏻
